The best day,

was literally the day we got married. We knew that we wanted our big day to be carefree and fun, not just for us (the bride & groom) but for our children as well. We are a blended family, a little Brady Bunch., so we decided to make it a special day for all of us. Our daughters were my bridesmaids and our sons were his groomsmen.

We got married on February 4th at The Retreat by The Wedgewood, located in Corona, California. We found The Wedgewood while searching for an all inclusive wedding venue and they really did just that. The moment I stepped inside The Retreat I loved the look and feel of the venue. We met with Caitlyn, this was our wedding coordinator for the venue (see, all inclusive) and she walked us through how everything would go the day of.

The Wedgewood provides you with options to include everything from wedding invitations to linens and décor. They also have options for the photographer and have a DJ included with your wedding fee. When I say everything is done right there, it really is and it makes it so much easier on the couple.

The morning of our wedding day I went over to the venue at about 10am to start getting ready. Caitlyn was there ready to help in any way I needed. I also had my mom, my best friend Ana and my makeup artist Mayra. While getting my makeup done, our wedding photographers Leniel & Ayah from Leniel V. Photography came in to capture me getting ready. These two are absolutely amazing. If you need a wedding photographer, check them out. We can not say enough about them. They not only capture the day beautifully but they are just awesome people. While I was getting ready the guys showed up and they captured them getting ready as well. We love every single photograph they took at our wedding.

Our wedding day was such a great day for us. The weather was beautiful, the venue looked amazing and our families had such a wonderful time. The kids literally ask us if we can get married again so we can have another day just like that. For our wedding colors, we had grey, burgundy and bits of lilac. We love playing games, so we used our blank CAH cards for pieces of advice from our guests. With us being a Marvel family, I surprised my Husband with an Ironman cake topper. He loves Ironman so this was a perfect gift to him.

We played games like "the shoe game", super fun. We also had a moment of dancing for the married couples in attendance. Every couple would dance until the DJ called the amount of years that you have been married. Us newlyweds were out first, but my husband's nana & papa were the last ones dancing with 60+ years of being married. It was the sweetest thing and really celebrated long lasting marriages. They are no longer with us but they definitely passed away being married to their soulmate. May Nana & Papa rest in peace.

To say our day was the best, is an understatement. Both my husband and I had been married before, so this was our second time. Let me tell you, it doesn't matter whether it is the 1st time, 2nd time or 3rd. If you are marrying the love of your life, your soulmate, the one you know you're supposed to be with. It is easy and carefree. Nothing else matters when it comes to your wedding day. As long as the groom is there and there is no runaway bride, that it the most important part of making it the best day. You don't need a lot of décor or fancy exits, all you need is the love you share. Your family being there is a great bonus.
